The Story of Wild Hawthorn
About Me
I'm Jan, the writer and wanderer behind Wild Hawthorn.
I have always been drawn to the quiet things- old gardens, wild plants, weathered houses, winding trails, books with worn pages, and the feeling of coming home with something beautiful tucked into my pocket.
Wild Hawthorn grew from that way of moving through the world.
Part field journal, part apothecary, part a gathering place, it is where I share stories from the woods and garden, simple plant creations, old things worth keeping, and the ordinary moments that make a life feel rich.
I don't have much interest in rushing through the world anymore.
I would rather notice what is blooming.
Follow the path a little farther.
Sit beside the river.
Bring home the flowers.
Make the salve.
Put the kettle on.
And write down what happened.
If you are drawn to a slower, more curious way of living, you are very welcome here.
With love and wild grace,
